Hometown: Cushing, TX
Years Hunting: I have been hunting for a total of 52 years. My love of the sport started when I was 10 and I took my first buck.
Years On Staff: My son-in-law and I started filming hunts for the Closing the Distance TV show in the fall of 2001. I was a Teacher/Coach/Principal/Superintendent at Mt. Enterprise School where I taught both Matt Moore and Johnny Risinger.
Behind the Scenes: I married my childhood sweetheart, Delores. I have two daughters, 2 grandkids, and 1 grandchild on the way. I am a retired Superintendent from Mt. Enterprise ISD where I worked for 34 years.
I enjoy hunting and filming because: I enjoy being in the outdoors watching whitetail deer regardless if I am behind the bow or the camera. I have killed close to 100 bucks in my hunting career and every one of them has been special to me. The last 11 years I have been strictly bow hunting. There is no greater thrill than coming to full draw on a whitetail buck.
