Hometown: Cushing, TX

Years Hunting: At age 12 I found the love of hunting with my uncle in the East Texas river bottoms. When I was 17 I started bow hunting. By the time I was 23 I was bow hunting exclusively and have continued to do so for the past 9 years.

Years On Staff: My father-in-law (Arthur "Chub" Clemons) and I bought our own commercial grade camera and started filming for the Closing the Distance TV show in the fall of 2001. I had been hunting with staff members Johnny Risinger and Matt Moore for 10 years before that.

Behind the Scenes: I have been married to my long time sweetheart, Amy, for 9 years and we have one son, Walker, and a daughter, Tessa, on the way. I work for a company called BWI that sells lawn care and farm and ranch supplies. I enjoy hunting and filming because it is in my blood. I was introduced to hunting at a young age by my uncle. Since that time hunting has remained a major part of my life. I was lucky enough to marry into a family that was hunting oriented. Chub (my father-in-law) and I have hunted for many years together. My wife also enjoys hunting, and we hope to pass it along to our kids. There is nothing like being in the outdoors and it is a great outlet for the day to day struggles of life.
