I was just about to climb down from my ladder stand when I heard a noise. I looked to my left and saw this 9 point. I had my bow hanging on it's hook and had to wait until he went behind a tree. I grabbed my bow and attached my release. He walked within 8 yards, walking away tword the swamp. Just then a 4 point walked into the area and my 9 point turned his way. He started to a shooting lane at 19 yards. With my glasses fogging up, I settled my pin on him and made my shot. He ran about 100 yards down the swamp edge trail and piled up. I trailed him with very little blood trail due to the arrow not exiting the far side. I called my wife to let her know and went to pick her up. She returned to help me get him to the truck. What a girl. I do not have the weight or the rack score. I am just happy to have him. He is my 2nd deer in 3 years. My 1st was a button buck.
