I had hunted hard all season putting some serious miles on my legs for days and just couldn't close the distance on the high country public land bucks. Always seamed to be something going wrong, wind was always at my back. I finally got a break on this buck when I saw him grazing on a ridge. I made a stalk through some trees closed the distance to 53 yards and laid the hammer down. He is the biggest buck I have ever killed with my bow and great looking in full velvet, never got a chance to put a tape on him yet as I took him straight to the taxidermist so he could inject the velvet so I didn't loose any on the mount. It ended up being a great season also killed a 5X5 bull archery, so Colorado treated me good this year. Nothing like PUBLIC land DIY
