Hey guys,
I didn't know if this was good since you mostly deal with deer. But this is a great success story for me.
I hunted all mourning for deer, didn't see much but one doe. I never had a chance to get a shot at her. My buddies and I decided to walk a little bit and see if we can't find some hogs. We all split up along the road and dipped down into this marshy area. I came out on the other side back on the road and decided to stay close to the truck since I was driving. I started walking back on the road the way we came in to look for a spot to set. I was walking really slow so I could listen, I was coming to a bend in the road and I knew there was a good spot on the other side of the bend. I thought I heard somthing moving that way so I slowed way down. As I was coming around the corner here comes this monster boar right at me on the same side of the road. He stopped about 10 feet in front of me and I shot him right before he charged. First Kill ever! Great feeling. And Good meat. And the day before reconstructive knee surgery. I'm still goin after those pretty whitetails. I'm just a little slower for now.
