Finally! hi guys my name is jake dodd. im a 33 year old family man and ive been chasing the majestic whitetail since i was 15 years old. it seems like every year i have to settle for a deer that im not too excited about. dont get me wrong i get very excited no matter what i bring down but ive always tried to get that big one. well this year it finally happened. my daughter and i went out the second day of rifle season in the afternoon sat in the ground blind and proceeded to get really cold. forty five minutes before dark we saw a fawn walk through the creek and twenty minutes later this big boy walked through. i took the shot and he dropped. i was so excited i about hugged the air right out of my daughter. i didnt get him scored before i took him to the taxidermist but im guessing he scores around the 140's the old wood river in central nebraska and the good lord blessed me this year!
